A century of experience

The passion for citrus fruits has always accompanied our long history since 1922, the year in which Francesco Misitano di Lorenzo and Francesco Stracuzzi di Rosario, owners of two homonymous citrus processing companies in the province of Messina, in splendid Sicily, meet for the first time.
Sharing the same values and operating in the same sector, they undertake a fruitful collaboration that will lead them in 1974 to give life to Misitano & Stracuzzi Snc, a perfect synergy between experience, skills and knowledge acquired over time thanks to the initiative and personality of these two. entrepreneurs in love with their work and their land. This combination soon paid off and the company quickly gained international prominence in the sector of essential oils and citrus juices, so much so that in 1981 the corporate structure was transformed into a Spa.
Nel 2016 per consolidare la presenza nel mercato americano viene costituita la Misitano & Stracuzzi USA Corp., interamente controllata dalla capogruppo italiana.

Excellent Company Award

In 2019, we were awarded the Global Strategy SME Observatory’s “Excellent Company Award” prize and the Italian Stock Exchange admitted the company to its prestigious ELITE programme.
The following year, the Company chose Microsoft as its technology partner and completely restructured the information system with the aim of improving and controlling all business processes. In addition, we acquired our first fully automated essential oil production line, capable of working without human intervention.
In 2021, we made major investments in faster and more reliable quality control analysis tools. We are absolutely convinced that technology combined with our long-standing know-how will further increase the quality of our products and, therefore, our customer’s satisfaction.

Misitano & Stracuzzi today

After four generations, today, we still preserve the same spirit, ambition and commitment that has always been the hallmark of our work, leveraging on the selection of the best Sicilian citrus fruits, the use of the most innovative production processes, and the adoption of strict quality controls to produce essential oils and juices that reach our industrial customers worldwide every day.
We are proud of the results obtained so far and intend to treasure our past so as to build our future with determination and responsibility. At the end of 2023 we purchased two new facilities in the industrial area of Giammoro, also in the province of Messina, where all the essential oils and citrus juices production will be transferred.

Stock Exchange Listing

July 29, 2024, the first day of listing on the Euronext Growth Milan market, managed by Borsa Italiana.
A historic day for Misitano & Stracuzzi, the point of arrival of a virtuous path and, at the same time, the first step towards a new era for the Company.

The goal is to maintain firm ownership, family leadership and care for the precious territory, but looking to the future. The capital raised will be used to grow further both organically, as a response to the needs of customers who demand higher product volumes, and through entry into new markets, such as perfumery and personal care, including operating in newly targeted countries.
